Whiplash

Whiplash is a condition that occurs as a result of sudden trauma to the cervical (neck) spine and muscles such as one might experience during a rear-end collision. Whiplash pain is mostly present in the cervical area; however it may also cause pain or numbness in the shoulders and arms. This pain may not occur until some time has elapsed from the initial injury.
