Shoulder Injuries & Pain
Injuries or pain associated with the shoulder area caused by a wide variety of problems.
A shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body, predisposing it to many problems and injuries. These can include sprains and strains of the muscles and ligaments, dislocations, separations, fractures, tendinitis, bursitis, arthritis, impingement syndrome, frozen shoulder and rotator cuff strains and tears. Shoulder injuries and pain are frequently caused by activities that involve excessive, repetitive overhead motion and by faulty postural habits.
The application of the red and infrared laser light stimulates circulation to the shoulder joint and surrounding soft tissues. The absorption of the light also causes the release of serotonin and endorphins to decrease the pain response and increase the cellular activity to provide the energy to repair the injured and inflamed tissues.
