Achilles Tendonitis An inflammation, irritation, and swelling of the tendon. Tendons connect the muscles to the bones.
Arthritis Inflammatory lesions confined to the joints. Marked by pain, heat, redness and swelling, due to inflammation, infection or trauma.
Bruises An injury of a part without a break in the skin.
Bursitis Inflammation of the bursa, sometimes accompanied by calcium deposits.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Pain and numbness in the hand, especially at night, suggest compression of the median nerve in the carpal tunnel. This tunnel is a narrow channel in the palmar aspect of the wrist.
Chondromalacia Patella Degenerative changes to the cartilage lining the under surface of the patella (knee cap) due to abnormal tracking of the patellofemoral joint.
Degenerative Disc Disease The loss of the structural and functional integrity of the discs in the spine. They lose their flexibility and ability to cushion the spine.
Fractures with tissue damage Damage to soft tissue as a result of a bone fracture or break.
Ligament and tendon tears Damage to the tissue responsible for connecting muscles to the skeleton.
Plantar Fasciitis A painful condition caused by damage to the plantar fascia (tissue that connects the ankle to the toes) by excessive wear or trauma. Sometimes can develop into a heel spur.
Rotator Cuff Tears Tears in the tendons connected muscle tissue of the rotator cuff (shoulder). Often a result of a sports injury.
Sprains and Strains An injury caused by stetching or twisting of a joint. The ligaments and soft tissue around the joint are damaged causing bruising, swelling, and pain.
Tennis and Golfer's Elbow Tennis Elbow: Inflammation of the lateral epicondyle (epicondylitis) due to tendinopathy of the wrist extensor muscles. Pain and tenderness on the outside surface of the elbow.
Golfer's Elbow: Inflammation of the medial epicondyle (epicondylitis), due to tendinopathy of the wrist flexor muscles. Pain and tenderness on the inside surface of the elbow.
TMJ Temporomandibular joint connects upper and lower jaw together. Can become inflammed or misaligned causing a great deal of pain.
Whiplash An injury to the neck caused by a violent sudden change in direction or momentum.
